Kostrzewa Pellets Plus Wood Pellet Boilers with fuzzy logic control, operate at or above 90% efficiency, with automatic ignition, a powered flue and Lambda sensor, which constantly monitors the combustion gases for optimum efficiency.
By using built in weather compensation technology, to adjust heat output of the boiler in line with the outside temperature, to ensure that you are only using the minimum amount of energy required and as the weather changes, also automatically adjusts the power of the boiler to the heating demand of the building from 20% - 100% of the boiler output, and with a “summer mode” which will automatically heat your hot water in summer. Using the recommended Gledhill “Torrent” Thermal Store you can have constant hot water at mains pressure!
By using wood pellets you are also using a Carbon Neutral, renewable fuel, as you can see from the table, wood fuel produces only a fraction of the CO2 produced by other fuels!
Pellets are loaded into the integral hopper from 15kg bags, on a weekly to a monthly basis according to the heating load, ash is removed about once a month, and is so clean it can be spread on your garden as a fertiliser!
In addition to Wood Pellets, the Pellets Plus boiler can burn grain, and also seasoned logs loaded by hand into the top loading chamber, by fitting the supplied grate, but still maintaining full control and optimum burning efficiency.
Obviously this gives you the freedom from being tied to one fuel, or fuel supplier! and also the knowledge that you can choose a fuel that is kind to the environment, your measured CO2 output can be reduced drastically as can be seen in the table above, this saving can be measured in tons per year! but in addition to this you can also save money!
In July last year wood pellets were about half the price of oil! at the moment there isn’t quite that difference, but as you are well aware the currently low price of oil will not last for long! but with the Pellets Plus boiler you have the option to use alternative fuels and shop around for pellets, which are now widely available all over the country.
Wood pellet technology has been used on the continent for many years, so this is all proven technology, in this country we have always had the luxury of cheap fossil fuels! but that situation is now changing, many European countries have not had that luxury, so have over the years they have developed alternative energy usage, wood pellets being widely popular in many of the colder climate countries, Kostrzewa are a family firm and have been making boilers for 30 years.
